Yesterday (on 17 July) Ambassador Gary K.Y. Ko, Representative of the Taipei Mission to the Republic of Latvia and Mr. Paul Huang, First Secretary of the Taipei Economic Mission visited Siauliai airport. The meeting was also attended by Mr. V. Naudužas, Ambassador for energy and transport policy issues, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, and Mr. J. Sartauskas, Mayor of Siauliai City along with Mr. J. Andriukaitis, Deputy Mayor. During the conference, guests were presented with Siauliai airport capacity as well as services and activities carried out by Municipal Company Siauliu oro uostas. The Taiwanese Ambassador said that Taiwan is interested in entering the European market and expand the logistics network, and stressed that Siauliai airport therefore could serve as a useful transport hub. Ambassador V. Naudužas endorsed by pointing out the importance of the exploitation of the airport that is situated in a strategically favorable geographic location for this purpose.
