THE AMBASSADOR VYTAUTAS NAUDUŽAS ENCOURAGES TO FORM A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND INDIA IN THE FIELD OF TRANSPORT
The Lithuanian delegation is participating in the ongoing India - Central Europe Business Forum, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) along with the Ministry of External Affairs in the capital of India on 27-28 March, 2014.
In the regional session focusing on the Northern European and the Baltic countries, Vytautas Naudužas, Ambassador-at-Large, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania introduced the Lithuanian economic benefits and opportunities to Indian business, especially the transport and logistics sector, as well as the achievements of Lithuania in the field of solar energy technologies. He called for a partnership between the Indian and Lithuanian transport sector, and urged the Indian business to use services provided by the port of Klaipeda, Siauliai airport and Lithuanian logistics centers. The Lithuanian representative also urged India to set up an embassy in Lithuania. The event involves 29 European delegations including governments’ officials and businessmen of economic diplomacy.
